Big Data - Why We Are Allowed to Hate Silicon Valley

In a very readable article, Evgeny Morozov describes in the newspaper FAZ  the "first scratch" in the image of Big Data. While "Big Pharma", "Big Food" and "Big Oil" are generally known as  derogatory expressions, until the beginning of summer* Big Data was  a synonym for innovation and progress.

A critique of Google, Facebook and Twitter - for example, they have the designed their services so that they play with our fears and may force us to constantly push the refresh button to get the latest update - results so far immediately to the accusation of hostility to technology and machines storm. That is now changing slowly, everyone is aware now that we hedge in ourselves with an "invisible barbed wire fence".
