Fortschritte zum Frieden in Afghanistan?

Aktion Freiheit statt Angst bekommt als Mitglied in der Fundamental Rights Platform und als registrierte Lobby-Organisation Dokumente der EU Kommisssion, um dazu Stellung zu nehmen  und Verbesserungsvorschläge zu machen. Meist sind diese Dokumente sehr weit von den wirklichen Problemen entfernt.

Den Gipfel hat nun das Papier "Joint Communication Elements for an EU-Afghanistan Strategy" erreicht. Darin heißt es doch tatsächlich:

"The new Strategy should mostly update and enhance the existing EU strategy, be based on the outcome of the BCA and be in line with relevant Council Conclusion of 18 July 2016. At the BCA, the Afghan Government and the International Community along with other partners renewed its partnership for prosperity and peace. They noted that important progress has been achieved on Afghanistan's way to a functioning, accountable and increasingly sustainable state, but the substantial challenges that the country still faces require further efforts to safeguard and build on these joint achievements."

Na, dann ist ja alles gut und wir brauchen nach 16 Jahren Krieg keine neue Strategie ..

Es bleibt aber die Frage, warum die Verteidigungsminister bei ihrem Treffen auf einem Kriegsschiff vor Malta doch nach einer solchen suchen ...
