SUMMARY:International day of action For Military-Free Education and Research
DESCRIPTION: Internationaler Aktionstag für militärfreie Bildung und Forschung   Die WRI ruft für den 14. Juni zu einem internationalen Aktionstag für  militärfreie Bidlung und Forschung auf. Damit soll die Aktionswoche\,  die  letztes Jahr in Deutschland stattgefunden hat\,  jetzt in möglichst vielen  anderen Ländern Nachhall finden.   Für 2014 ist dann eine internationale Aktionswoche geplant.      As part of WRI's Countering the Militarisation of Youth work we are keen  to help coordinate an international day of action For Military-Free  Education and Research\,  which will take place on 14 June 2013. The day  will be based on the September 2012 week of action in Germany\,  which was  supported by over one hundred groups and organisations\,  with actions in  at least eight cities.    Many of the actions during the September 2012 week involved handing out  leaflets at schools and other education centres highlighting the dangers  of joining the military\,  and the leaflets were accompanied in some cases  with fake blood\,  a coffin\,  and chocolate 'medicine' to protect students  against military propaganda.    The day of action this year will help to introduce groups to the  campaign\,  and test out action ideas before the much bigger week in 2014.    A successful international day of action would involve events in  different countries which are all on the same theme (Military-Free  Education and Research)\,  and which use the same slogans and logo(s)\,  but  individual groups will have autonomy in organising their actions.    War Resisters' International     Das Bündnis Schule ohne Militär unterstützt diesen Aufruf und ruft zu Aktionen am 14.6. in Berlin auf.
