"Model for Germany" flourishes (us) in several states

Minister of Homeland Seehofer sees the Bavarian police task law as a "model for Germany" - it is the total surveillance. A month ago we had still considered it as a "campaign match for AfD voters" in Bavaria.But this "model" reaches out faster than you can see.

In NRW, a similar law has already been discussed, and a draft has also been leaked from the second "Free State", from Saxony. There, too, the total militarization of the police is planned: "hand grenades, machine guns and stun guns" - that is what CDU and SPD have agreed on.

There is still "dispute" when listening to the citizens. The CDU is open, but so far there is no agreement as to whether it should be read in mobile chats. Here is a lot more possible, let's wait for the next terrorist hysteria ...

In Bavaria, people have already shown their disgust for this project in a huge demonstration on 5 May. The applicants had expected 7,000 participants, but there were many, many more. The police speak of 30,000 people, the SPD of 40,000. (Uh, that's the same SPD demonstrating here against the law that they are promoting in Saxony ...)

Only the data protection officers are in agreement. For example, Bavaria's data protection officer Thomas Petri warns of a breach of taboo and the data protection expert Thilo Weichert from Schleswig-Holstein warns: "There should be no march through Bavarian security policy." The law was "unacceptable and dangerous".

Why do people themselves make the laws with which they can then be suppressed in the next police state?

Nothing to hide?
Amsterdam has always been considered a prime example of successful urban planning. As early as 1851, the city began to systematically collect data from the population in order to optimally distribute its resources. For the "population register", the inhabitants readily indicated relationship status, occupation and religious affiliation. In 1936, they even switched to data acquisition with a state-of-the-art punch card system. In 1939, a census updated the city register again.
In May 1940, the invaded German occupiers seized the register and, based on this data, determined in a few days almost all Jewish inhabitants. A large part of the approximately 100,000 Jews from Amsterdam were deported to the Auschwitz extermination camp. From day to day, a marker in the big data pool decided about life and death. Previously, for 90 years nobody had anything to hide - after all, the collection was for the good of all.

Es geht imho doch nicht immer um das, was man zu verbergen hat, oder nicht, obwohl das sicher der wichtigste Aspekt ist. Ich selber möchte für mich das gleiche Maß an Intransparenz, Vertraulichkeit, Intimität, Diskretion in Anspruch nehmen können, wie es die Eliten für sich behaupten. Wenn andere über mich alles wissen, möchte ich über diese auch alles wissen und umgekehrt - gleiche Rechte für alle.
Zum Kotzen, dieses Geschacher um Wissen und Macht.

Und die Vorstellung, daß sie dem PAG zufolge in e-mail-Inhalten manipulieren dürfen, finde ich auch gruselig. Ich kann mir nur noch direkte Polizeigewalt als schlimmeres Staatsmedium vorstellen. An diesem Gesetz gibt es nichts Gutes.

Aber mal im Ernst, wir flaxen hier rum und ich frage mich dennoch unangenehm berührt, wie es kann, daß diese Leute so etwas öffentlich diskutieren können. Wenn sie so etwas so frech und frei diskutieren, besteht doch sicher irgendwo die realistische Aussicht, daß sie etwas ähnliches in petto haben und durchdrücken werden. Mir kommt der Protest, auch unsere Ablehnung so randständig und marginal vor.
Als hätte Demokratie hierzulande keinen Wert mehr, Minderheitenschutz? Wozu?! Usw.
Was ist das für eine armselige Politikerkaste, der eine spielt dem anderen den Ball und am Ende entsteht und bleibt der Eindruck, als würde Politik und Diskussion nur vorgegaukelt.
Frieden rockt hat auf fb einen schönen Beitrag zum Thema Cannabis gepostet. Anslinger und co - so manipuliert man die Allgemeinheit.
Ich muß gerade mal suchen, ob es die hier auch irgendwo gibt.

was sie in Hessen und BaWü durchgedrückt haben ist ja auch nicht gerade harmlos
