Trump's plan has worked

On January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the landmark Roe versus Wade decision that state laws banning abortions violate the United States Constitution. For nearly 50 years, that ruling stood, but now the conservative majority on the Supreme Court appointed by former President Trump has reversed that ruling.

Trump had been allowed to fill three of the judgeships and appointed Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. Those three voted along with conservative Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. Only Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer voted against overturning the Roe versus Wade landmark ruling.

Ever since "Roe v. Wade" recognized the constitutional right to abortion, anti-abortion extremists have worked to overturn the landmark ruling. They
finally got what they wanted.

This is the first time the Supreme Court has ever taken away a constitutional right. States have immediately begun banning abortion. Abortion clinics are cancelling appointments, leaving patients stranded with few options.

Make no mistake. The coordinated national strategy to eliminate abortion access has already disproportionately harmed Black and brown people, LGBTQ people, young people, and low-income people who can face nearly insurmountable barriers to accessing the abortion care they need. Things are only going to get worse.

Wir schreiben euch als Feminist:innen aus allen Teilen der Welt, die für den Zugang zu sicheren und legalen Abtreibungen kämpfen, oft unter feindseligen Bedingungen. Wir haben eine Botschaft für euch:Solidarität ist unsere Art, uns zu wehren.
Die Entscheidung des obersten Gerichtshofs in den USA wird ganz konkrete, schreckliche Folgen haben , besonders für junge Frauen, Schwarze, Latinas und Frauen mit geringem Einkommen.
Wir bewundern zutiefst, wie tapfer und unermüdlich ihr euch bereits für eure Rechte eingesetzt habt und wir wollen euch wissen lassen:Wir schauen nicht weg – euer Kampf ist unser Kampf.
