10:55 – 11:00 Announcement of the logistics of seminars

The three panel discussions will be held to collect the points ofview of relevant stakeholders on the nine core subjects of theevaluation and review of the Data Retention Directive

Each panel will consist of a moderator and four panellistsrepresenting different stakeholders, i.e. the European Parliament/civilsociety; law enforcement authorities; economic operators; and dataprotection authorities.

For details about these subjects, please see the discussion paper in annex.

The panel discussions will be facilitated by a moderator. A speaker will present his/her point of view (10'), three discussants will give feedback (5'), after which the floor will be open for questions and comments from the audience and discussions with the panellists.
Each panel will meet three times: in the morning from 11:20-12:40 andin the afternoon between 14:00 – 16:00 (including a coffee break).The first session will discuss the first topic, the afternoon sessionsthe two remaining ones.

The moderator will report the points of view at the plenary session between 16:05-16:30. The conference chair will facilitate a general discussion on the presentations of the panels and wrap up the discussions by drawing some general conclusions.
