187 : 2 against injustice
On November 1 and 2, the United Nations General Assembly met in New York to debate and vote on the resolution "The need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba". 187 states voted in favor of Cuba, with only two votes against and one abstention. The two votes against came from the USA and Israel, the abstention from Ukraine. In addition to the perpetrator of the 60-year violation of international law, the other two countries were those that are 100% dependent on money from Washington. Rally in front of the Brandenburg GateLast Saturday , people from South America and Berlin celebrated last Thursday's vote together. Even if the majority for an end to the sanctions is growing from year to year, unfortunately the USA's behavior, which violates international law, is not changing. The very country that always talks about "freedom of trade" has been sanctioning a country for 60 years because it dislikes its political system. Over the years, the sanctions have caused the country hundreds of billions of dollars in economic damage. Activists from Aktion Freiheit statt Angst e.V. also took part in the rally. International tribunal against the blockade of CubaOn November 16 and 17, 2023, an international tribunal against the blockade of Cuba will take place in Brussels, continuing the tradition of popular tribunals against wars, interventions and gross human rights violations by the US and other powers. https://www.fgbrdkuba.de/infos/internationales-tribunal-gegen-die-blockade-2023.php Read more https://www.fgbrdkuba.de/fg/fgtxt/fg20210529-unblockcuba-aktion-frankfurt.php Category[49]: Aktivitäten Short-Link to this page: a-fsa.de/e/3xa Link to this page: https://www.aktion-freiheitstattangst.org/de/articles/8578-20231106-kundgebung-fuer-kuba.html Link with Tor: http://a6pdp5vmmw4zm5tifrc3qo2pyz7mvnk4zzimpesnckvzinubzmioddad.onion/de/articles/8578-20231106-kundgebung-fuer-kuba.html Tags: #Kuba #UNO #Abstimmung #Wirtschaftssanktionen #USA #Völkerrecht #Israel #Ukraine #Diskriminierung #Ungleichbehandlung #Verhaltensänderung Created: 2023-11-06 08:35:26 Hits: 445 Leave a Comment |
