FRA presents outcomes of its civil society space consultation
Als Mitglied der Fundamental Rights Platform (FRA) dokumentiert Aktion Freiheit statt Angst regelmäßig deren Veröffentlichungen, wenn sie unsere Themen betreffen. Dieses Mal geht es
- einmal um Ergebnisse aus den Befragungen von über 130 zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen in Europa über deren Probleme bei der Durchsetzung von Menschenrechten in der EU und
- zum anderen um Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) in der Justiz. Dazu hat das Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) am 30. November eine Konferenz an der Universität in Lille organisiert.
Wir sind auf einen Bericht von dieser Konferenz gespannt, da wir uns nicht vorstellen können, welchen Nutzen KI im Justizwesen bringen könnte.
- FRA would like to thank those 136 FRP organisations who contributed to the online consultation regarding their experiences on civil society space, which was open during September 2018. Based on your input, FRA publishes today the conference paper 'Civil society space: views of organisations', which FRA Director Michael O'Flaherty will present this afternoon at the European Commission's annual Fundamental Rights Colloquium on 'Democracy in the EU.
- The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) is organising a conference on artificial intelligence and humane justice at the University of Lille on 30 November. The conference brings together lawyers across Europe and experts in artificial intelligence and related fields to discuss and explore the role of lawyers with respect to the use of artificial intelligence. The conference addresses several topics in relation to the use of artificial intelligence, including training, fundamental rights, contracts, open data, access to justice and client-lawyer relations. The Agency will contribute with its experience from its work on fundamental rights implications of artificial intelligence and big data. (Contact: David Reichel)
